What is going on, friends? Today I’m asking myself: is this the best steakhouse in Wheaton? Ivy Restaurant is located in downtown Wheaton, Illinois. The owners, Dick and Carol O’Gorman, opened this place back in March 2009. They took the old 1928 chapel and funeral home and turned it into this restaurant.
I did get the opportunity to meet the owner, Dick, and he was the most personable individual I’ve ever met. I personally like to go up to Wisconsin to visit supper clubs, and this gave me the same vibes.
We started off with the peppercorn filet bites. For drinks, we tried their maple Old Fashioned and a glass of wine. For the entree, we went with the Parmesan crusted salmon and the Ivy Truffle Burger. Both were delicious. For dessert, we ordered their tiramisu, and they brought out a complimentary crème brûlée.
Overall, for the food, atmosphere, and service, I’m giving this place a 10 out of 10. So if you’re ever in the area for date night or with friends, I strongly suggest you check this place out.
