Still Middle School

Still Middle School serves grades 6 through 8 in Indian Prairie School District 204. The building is at 787 Meadowridge Drive in Aurora, which is the same thing that catches families out about District 204’s high schools: an Aurora mailing address says nothing about where the students live. Many of the subdivisions assigned to Still sit inside Naperville.

Still is home of the Bulldogs. District 204’s subdivision list routes four elementary schools into it: Owen, Cowlishaw, White Eagle and Gombert. Cowlishaw is shared, with its subdivisions divided between Still, Granger and Hill, so an elementary school is not on its own a reliable guide to which middle school follows.

The district’s official list assigns 27 subdivisions to Still, among them White Eagle, Heatherstone, Brighton Ridge, Eagle Pointe, Mayfair, Lakewood Crossing, Vintage Club of Naperville, Ponds of Naperville, Spring Brook Heights, Stonehaven, Chelsea Manor and Villages of West Glen. White Eagle and Brighton Ridge are both frequently marketed under the wrong schools. Assignments follow the address rather than the subdivision name, and some names appear in more than one district, so confirm a specific property against the district’s current list before relying on it.

The detail most often gotten wrong about Still is what comes after it. Still does not feed a single high school. Of the 27 subdivisions assigned to it, the district’s list sends 18 on to Waubonsie Valley High School and the other 9 to Metea Valley High School. Two families who both attend Still can therefore be zoned to different high schools, which is why the high school has to be checked by address and not inferred from the middle school.
