Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm and Fall Fest

Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm sits at 13341 W 151st St in Homer Glen, about 20 miles and a half hour drive from Naperville by way of 75th Street and I-355. A pumpkin festival has run on this ground since 1981, and the 2026 Fall Fest runs September 4 through November 8, with the farm closed September 8, 9 and 10. General admission covers unlimited rides and every attraction on the property, so the only extras are the gemstone mining sluice, food and drink, merchandise and the pumpkins you carry home.

Fourteen mechanical rides are themed to the barnyard, from the Barnstormer Wave Swinger and the Barnyard Dance spin coaster to the Egg Drop tower, Rooster Rodeo, Rockin’ Rabbits, Barrel Blast, Flying Frogs, Honey Pots, Happy Swing and the Party Barn. Two trains, the Clickety Clack Railroad and the Hootenanny Railroad, circle the grounds, a tractor pulled hayrack ride runs out toward the pumpkin cannon, and Tractor Town sends families through the big barn in their own tractors. Most rides post a height minimum, and several let a shorter rider board when an adult comes along.

Away from the rides, pig races run in sets of three throughout the day, the See Through Band plays as an animatronic skeleton crew, and Zack and Daisy perform as a singing tractor duo. Local musicians take the open air pavilion through the season. The Haunted Barn and the Fun Barn cover the spooky option and the gentle one, and the Twisted Tunnel spins the room around you. Kids get four playgrounds, the Bengtsonville Kids Village with its fire station and schoolhouse, Amish and pumpkin playhouses, two free shooting galleries, a giant corn box and a petting zoo with goats, donkeys, cows, rabbits and chickens. Eighteen photo ops and a free selfie booth are scattered across the farm.

Food is a real part of the day here. Apple cider donuts, funnel cake fries, mini churros, cotton candy, kettle corn and Mini Moo Melts cover the sweet side, while locally sourced sweet corn, pizza, baked potatoes and buttered popcorn cover the savory. Apple cider shake ups, apple cider slushies, fresh squeezed lemonade and root beer floats are farm staples, and the Tipsy Cow Bar pours canned beer, hard seltzer, hard cider and wine slushies. Uncle Bub’s BBQ, Rustic Knead, the J&M Beef Wagon, Auntie Anne’s and Hello Boba serve daily, with rotating local trucks on select weekends. A free Flavor Passport runs September 4 through 30 and trades stamps collected at participating flavor stops for a prize.

Plan on 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM Monday through Friday and 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM Saturday and Sunday. Weekday admission starts at $23.99, Fridays are $26.99, September weekends are $31.99, and October weekends and Columbus Day are $38.99. Children 1 year and under enter free, and active duty military and veterans enter free with one guest when a military ID or DD-214 is shown at the gate. Parking is free, the farm is cashless, and nearly every path is paved, so a wagon or stroller is worth bringing. Outside pets are not permitted, and guests under 16 need an adult with them.

Fall Fest weekend, September 11 to 13, 2026

The first full weekend of the 2026 season runs Friday September 11 through Sunday September 13, with the farm open 11:00 AM to 8:30 PM Friday and 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM Saturday and Sunday.
