Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm Fall Fest 2026

Fall Fest at Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm hits its first full weekend of the 2026 season Friday September 11 through Sunday September 13, and it is one of the easiest fall day trips from Naperville. The farm sits in Homer Glen, about 20 miles and roughly 30 minutes away by way of 75th Street and I-355 south, and one general admission ticket covers the whole festival.

This is a pumpkin patch with a full amusement park attached. Fourteen rides, racing pigs, live music, two walk through barns, a petting zoo, four playgrounds and more than 300 tons of pumpkins are all included in the price of the gate. September weekends also carry the lowest weekend admission of the season, which makes this weekend the value pick before October rates take over.

Things to Do in Naperville This Weekend: A 30 Minute Drive to the Pumpkin Patch

Naperville’s own calendar fills up fast in September, but Fall Fest is the kind of outing that fills a whole day rather than an hour. Families leaving from the south side of town can be parked at the farm before the gates open, spend the morning on rides and the animals, break for lunch on site, and still be home by dinner. Hours for Fall Fest Weekend, September 11 to 13, 2026

The farm was closed September 8, 9 and 10, so this is the season’s first uninterrupted weekend. Evenings run late enough that the rides and the barns light up after sunset, and the last couple of hours of the day are usually the quietest stretch on the midway.

One ticket admits one person for the day and covers every ride and attraction on the property. October Saturdays and Sundays climb to $38.99, so a September weekend visit saves $7 a head over the same festival later in the season. Active duty service members and veterans get in free with one guest by showing a military ID or a DD-214 at the gate. Tickets are dated, and the farm is cashless. What Is Included With Admission

Nearly everything on the property is covered by the gate price. There is no wristband to upgrade to and no per ride ticket booth.

Rides, Pig Races and Live Music

The ride lineup is the reason Fall Fest reads more like a fair than a farm stand. The Barnstormer wave swinger sends riders out over the field, the Pumpkin Coaster is a first coaster for a lot of Naperville kids, and the hayride loops the property behind a tractor. Height requirements vary by ride and are posted at each entrance.

The pig races are the farm’s signature show. A handful of pigs sprint a short oval while the crowd picks a favorite, and the heats run on a repeating schedule through the day so you will not have to plan around a single show time. Live music plays on the festival stage in the afternoon and into the evening, which turns the picnic area into the natural place to regroup with a cider and let everyone rest.

The Pumpkin Patch

The patch is stocked rather than pick your own from the vine, which means the selection stays deep all season and you are never picking over what is left. More than 300 tons of pumpkins are laid out across the field in every size from palm sized pie pumpkins to the ones that take two people to lift, along with gourds, squash, mums and cornstalks. Wagons are available to haul what you choose back to the barn, and pumpkins are priced at the register on the way out.

Food, Cider Donuts and the Flavor Passport

Apple cider donuts come out of the fryer on site and are the thing most people leave holding. Roasted sweet corn, kettle corn, caramel apples, funnel cakes and a rotating set of local food trucks cover the rest of a full meal, and there are picnic tables throughout the grounds.

Through September 30, the farm’s Flavor Passport is free with admission. It routes you to a set of food stops around the property and is worth picking up at the gate on a September weekend visit like this one, since it expires before the October crowds arrive.

Getting There From Naperville

Take 75th Street east to I-355, head south to the 159th Street or 151st Street exit, and follow 151st east to the farm at 13341 W 151st St in Homer Glen. It is about 20 miles door to door and roughly 30 minutes without traffic. Saturday late morning is the heaviest arrival window; getting there at opening or after 4:00 PM keeps the entry line short.

Parking is free in the farm’s own lot, and the lot is grass and gravel in places, so plan footwear accordingly.

Know Before You Go

• The farm is cashless. Cards and mobile wallets only.
• Pets are not permitted. ADA service animals are welcome; emotional support animals are not included in that exception.
• Guests under 16 need an adult with them.
• Main paths are paved, so strollers and wagons roll easily. A wagon is the standard move for families with small children.
• School and daycare groups are not accommodated during Fall Fest.
• The festival runs rain or shine. Dress for an outdoor day in September, when evenings cool off quickly.
• The full season runs September 4 through November 8, 2026, if this weekend does not work.
