Santa’s Naperville Workshop Opening Night

Kick off the holiday season with a memorable, one-on-one visit to Santa at his magical workshop in Naperville. On Monday, November 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Naperville Park District welcomes families to the Paddleboat Quarry Rentals Building at 441 Aurora Ave. for the opening night of Santa’s Naperville Workshop.

This reservation-only experience gives your family dedicated time with Santa in a cozy setting right along the Naperville Riverwalk. It’s designed for residents and visitors looking for a personal holiday tradition without the crowds of a typical mall visit.

Why You Can’t Miss Santa’s Naperville Workshop Opening Night

Santa’s Naperville Workshop returns for its popular annual run from November 30 through December 20, 2026, with the first session happening on opening night. This event stands out because it offers private, family-by-family visits inside the workshop at the Paddleboat Quarry Rentals Building, located conveniently near Rotary Hill and the heart of downtown Naperville.

Whether you’re a local family building new traditions or visitors exploring DuPage County during the holidays, this setup lets kids share their wishes directly with Santa in a relaxed atmosphere. The series includes special nights later, like Pet Night on December 1, but November 30 focuses on the general public opening.

What to Expect at the Workshop

Each family receives a brief, private conversation with Santa inside the workshop. You can take your own photos and videos…no professional photography service is provided, so bring your camera or phone. Up to four families may share a time slot, but visits remain one family at a time for a personal touch.

The queue forms outdoors, so dress appropriately for November weather in Naperville. The Paddleboat Quarry location sits along the scenic Riverwalk, making it easy to combine with a stroll if conditions allow.

• Private family visit with Santa
• Bring your own camera for photos
• Outdoor queue…prepare for the weather
• No walk-up visits accepted

How to Register and Pricing

Registration opens at noon on October 20, 2026, for Naperville residents and at noon on October 22 for nonresidents through the Naperville Park District website. Fees are $12 per family for residents and $17 per family for nonresidents. Select your preferred time slot when you register online at napervilleparks.org/santasworkshop.

Advance reservations are required…no on-site registration or walk-ups. Spots fill quickly due to popularity, so register early to secure your family’s visit on opening night.

Plan Your Visit

Arrive with enough time to join the outdoor queue before your slot. The venue at 441 Aurora Ave. is accessible via the Riverwalk, with nearby downtown Naperville amenities for before or after your visit. Parking options exist in the area, though specific rules aren’t detailed on the event page…plan for standard downtown availability.

This November 30 session is the opening night only; the full workshop series runs through December 20 with additional dates and themes. Families of all ages are welcome for this general public evening.
