J. Thomas Chute has dedicated the past 18 years of his legal career to advocating for “the little guy.” He began at a large defense firm but quickly realized his true satisfaction came from representing individuals and families facing financial or personal hardship. Eight years ago, Chute and his partners established a more personal practice, one that prioritizes individualized attention during some of the most difficult times in a client’s life. The firm focuses on representing people injured in auto accidents, workplace incidents and cases of medical malpractice.  Known for his commonsense approach, Chute has earned a reputation as one of the leading trial lawyers in the region. Originally from the East Coast, he moved to Chicago to attend DePaul University College of Law and has called the area home for 36 years. Together with his wife, he raised three children in Naperville. In addition to his practice, Chute is a frequent speaker at legal seminars, professional organizations, and law schools. Outside the courtroom, he is deeply committed to giving back to the community and supporting causes that reflect his dedication to helping others.
