Emily Cummings is an award-winning portrait and commercial photographer based in the Chicago area. Over the last ten years, she has mastered the art of capturing simple, modern photos that exude the natural beauty and authenticity of her subjects.

Her secret? A thoughtful prep that approaches each client’s photoshoot like a personal branding experience. These days there are so many places where people rely on photography to make a great first impression (think business bios, book covers, blogs, Linkedin/Instagram/Snapchat, even dating profiles). Emily understands that and has built out a pre-shoot process that reflects that reality.

You’ll chat through your goals for the session – from the location to the look and vibe you’re going for to where the photos will be used – aligning on all the key components. She has a stylist to help with wardrobe and a hair and makeup artist on set, so you feel comfortable and confident before you step in front of her camera.
