About the PLACE

Knoch Knolls Nature Center is an environmental education facility and nature preserve operated by the Naperville Park District, dedicated to connecting residents with the natural world. Located along the DuPage River, the center features indoor exhibits, classrooms, and interactive displays focused on local ecosystems, wildlife, and conservation. Surrounding the building are walking trails, prairie areas, wetlands, and river habitats that offer hands-on learning opportunities in a natural setting.

In addition to self-guided exploration, Knoch Knolls Nature Center offers a wide range of educational programs for children, families, schools, and adults. These include nature classes, seasonal events, guided hikes, and environmental workshops designed to promote stewardship and appreciation of the outdoors. As one of Naperville’s key nature-focused destinations, Knoch Knolls Nature Center plays an important role in environmental education, outdoor recreation, and preserving the area’s natural resources for future generations.
