Naperville golfers, mark your calendars. The Naperville Men’s Amateur Championship returns July 18–19, 2026, giving local amateurs a chance to compete across two of the Park District’s premier courses.
Whether you’re chasing the title in the Championship flight or simply looking for a competitive weekend round with friends, this 36-hole event at Naperbrook and Springbrook delivers exactly what Naperville players expect: solid competition, great courses, and that hometown feel.
Why You Can't Miss the Naperville Men's Amateur Championship
This is the local event serious amateurs talk about all year. Flights are set by handicap so every player finds a fair, competitive group—from scratch golfers in the Championship flight (0-4) down to the E flight (17+).
Winners in each flight earn recognition, and the lowest gross score in the Championship flight claims the overall Naperville Men’s Amateur Champion title. It’s a true test of skill on familiar Naperville-area courses.
What to Expect on the Course
Play begins at 7:00 a.m. both days. Saturday’s round is at Naperbrook Golf Course; Sunday’s round is at Springbrook Golf Course. The format is 36-hole medal play with gross scoring in most flights and net in the E flight.
Your $180 entry covers greens fees, range balls, prizes, and lunch. Starting times are posted the Wednesday before the event. A keep-pace policy helps rounds move efficiently.
- Championship flight: gold tees
- All other flights: blue tees
- Handicaps determined from blue tees at Springbrook (95% of converted course handicap)
Who Can Play and How to Register
Any male amateur 18 or older with an official USGA handicap is eligible. No handicap? You can establish one through the course’s handicap club before the July 13 effective date.
Register online, by mail, or in person at either course by Sunday, July 12, 2026. Brooks Links members should register by phone or in person for the member discount.
