Faculty Recital Series – Jennifer Barrett Voice Recital

Join Voice & Opera Instructor and North Central College Alumna Jennifer (Medows ’01) Barrett for an elegant afternoon of classical vocal music as part of the Faculty Recital Series. Mezzo-Soprano Jennifer L. Barrett will take the stage to perform Aaron Copland’s “12 Poems of Emily Dickinson,” alongside a curated selection of works by fellow American composer Samuel Barber. Notably, the performance will feature a rare, unpublished piece from Barber’s early catalog.

She will be accompanied by pianist Jon Warfel, the dedicated accompanist for the NCC Opera Workshop program. This faculty recital promises a beautiful exploration of American art song in the intimate and historic setting of Koten Chapel.

While the event is completely free to attend, a free-will donation will be collected at the door to generously support North Central College’s Opera Workshop program and Music Department.
