Warm up on a crisp autumn Sunday afternoon during the Harvest Soup & Chili Stroll, taking place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM across Downtown Naperville. Hosted by the Downtown Naperville Alliance on the closing day of the inaugural Taste of Naperville dining festival, this ticketed culinary and retail stroll pairs local boutique shopping with comforting, chef-crafted bowls of fall soup and hearty chili.

How the Stroll Works

  • Check-In & Souvenir Gear: Ticketed guests begin at the designated Downtown Naperville check-in location to pick up their official event lanyard/map and commemorative tasting vessel.
  • Sip, Sample & Shop: Follow a self-guided walking route through participating Downtown Naperville boutiques, retail shops, and eateries. At each stop along the route, sample a signature autumn soup or savory chili prepared by local Downtown Naperville restaurants while browsing seasonal merchandise and exclusive in-store promotions.
  • Culinary Variety: Tastings range from classic beef and bean chilis, white chicken chili, and smokehouse barbecue chili to velvety butternut squash bisque, baked potato soup, and seasonal harvest broths.

Visitor Tips & Downtown Parking

  • Advance Tickets Recommended: Downtown Naperville culinary strolls have limited capacity and regularly sell out in advance; secure your tickets early through the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
  • Post-Marathon Arrival: The Naperville Half Marathon & 5K concludes earlier that morning at 11:00 AM, meaning downtown streets and parking facilities will be reopened in time for afternoon strollers.
  • Free Downtown Parking: Convenient free parking is available at the Van Buren Parking Deck (43 W. Van Buren Ave.), Central Parking Facility (75 E. Chicago Ave.), Water Street Deck (120 Water St.), and the Municipal Center Deck (400 S. Eagle St.).
