Now in its 14th season, Illumination returns with bold new installations that make it the most captivating version yet. Four large-scale additions join returning favorites along the one-mile, ADA-accessible trail, creating a fresh reason to visit even if you’ve gone before.

What to Expect on the Trail

Wander through 22 dazzling displays of color, light, and sound designed exclusively for the Arboretum. Highlights include an enormous aurora borealis-inspired canopy stretching more than 400 feet overhead, an immersive tunnel of moving chrome spheres evoking rain and dew, a hillside of glowing orbs inspired by sand gardens, and an enchanted landscape with firefly-like orbs, illuminated mushrooms, and otherworldly elements.
