Anderson’s Bookshops is thrilled to present an exclusive author event with interior designer, podcaster, and author Jennifer Welch, celebrating the release of her highly anticipated book, Not Today, Fascists: The Lies That Got Us Here, and the Truths That Will Reunite Us.

Jennifer will be joined on stage by prominent journalist, podcaster, and political commentator Hasan Piker for a dynamic, moderated conversation followed by a live audience Q&A.

About the Book

In Not Today, Fascists, Welch explores the complex intersection of religion and politics in America. Through a progressive Christian lens, she sheds light on how right-wing nationalism attempts to dominate audience spaces and outlines how everyday citizens can push back to reclaim our country. The book dives deep into:

• How the current communication landscape is harming everyday Americans.
• The foundational necessity of the separation of church and state.
• The role of Big Church in wielding economic and political power over our government.
• How politicians use the fear of the “other” to manipulate and suppress voters.

Event Format & What to Expect

• Doors Open: Approximately 60 minutes before the 7:00 PM start time.
• Seating: All seating is general admission.
• The Program: A moderated conversation with Hasan Piker, followed by an audience Q&A.
• Book Signing Details: There will be no photo or signing line at the event. All books will be pre-signed by Jennifer Welch.
• Ticket Inclusions: Your ticket includes a copy of the book. If you cannot attend, you have 30 days to pick up your included book at the hosting store, or you can have it shipped for an additional $10.00 fee.
