ORGANIZATION

Get ready to raise your glasses for the most anticipated brewery adventure in the western suburbs! The Lisle Park District is proud to present ‘Taps On Tour,’ a premier, all-inclusive craft beer experience taking place on Saturday, January 17, 2026. This unique event is designed for both the casual beer drinker and the dedicated hop-head, offering an educational and social journey through the flourishing craft beer scene of Lisle and its neighboring communities.

The day begins at the Lisle Community Center, where guests will check in and board a professional shuttle, eliminating any worries about transportation and allowing you to focus entirely on the flavors and the fun. Our first stop brings us to Bubblehouse Brewing Company in Lisle. Known for its modern, community-focused taproom and innovative recipes, Bubblehouse has quickly become a local favorite. Here, guests will receive their first pint of the day while learning about the essential first steps of the brewing process directly from the brewmasters.

From there, the tour moves to Skeleton Key Brewing in Woodridge. Skeleton Key is not just a brewery but a craft beer incubator, famous for its ‘Spare Keys’ program that helps other local brewers find their footing. This stop focuses on the science of brewing, offering insights into the complex chemistry that transforms raw ingredients into liquid gold. Following a delightful hour at Skeleton Key, we travel to the legendary Alter Brewing Co. in Downers Grove. As a staple of the Illinois beer scene since 2015, Alter provides a ‘modern-industrial’ backdrop for our third session, where participants will explore the nuances of hop varieties and the dry-hopping techniques that define their flagship IPAs.

The final destination on this brew-filled odyssey is Ike & Oak Brewing in Woodridge. This sleek gastropub and brewery combo offers a high-energy environment perfect for capping off the day. At Ike & Oak, the focus shifts to the final stages of the brewing cycle and the art of flavor profiles. At each of these four stops, your registration includes a full pint of a signature craft brew, ensuring you get a complete taste of each establishment’s unique offerings.

Taps On Tour is more than just a bus ride; it is an immersive educational experience. You will have the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes, ask questions of the people who actually make the beer, and learn the specific steps—from milling and mashing to fermentation and finishing—that result in your favorite styles. Whether you prefer a crisp Mexican-style lager, a hazy IPA, a rich stout, or a tart kettle sour, this tour showcases the incredible diversity of the DuPage County beer map.

Space is strictly limited to ensure an intimate and informative experience for all participants. The $60 registration fee covers all transportation, four full pints of craft beer, and expert-led tours at each location. Please remember that this is a 21 and over event, and a valid photo ID is required for check-in and at all brewery locations. Don’t miss out on this incredible chance to discover new favorites, make new friends, and deepen your appreciation for local craftsmanship. Register through the Lisle Park District by January 10 to secure your spot on the bus!
