Running every Tuesday night from July 7 through August 11, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, this highly anticipated outdoor music event brings together incredible local talent, vibrant community energy, and scenic waterfront views.
Whether you are a lifelong resident or just visiting for the summer, grabbing a lawn chair and heading down to the water is the absolute best way to break up your work week.
Why You Can’t Miss the River Sounds Summer Concert Series
1. An Incredible Live Music Lineup
Every single week, the River Sounds Summer Concert Series showcases a diverse array of musical genres. From soulful blues and classic rock to upbeat country and contemporary indie pop, there is a rhythm and a beat for everyone. The community stage is proud to feature both seasoned regional headliners and incredible emerging local artists.
2. The Stunning Waterfront Atmosphere
There is something truly magical about listening to live music as the sun sets over the river. The Riverwalk provides a picturesque, family-friendly backdrop where you can relax on the grass, stroll along the promenade, or dance right in front of the main stage.
3. Mouth-Watering Local Food Trucks
A night of dancing and singing is bound to work up an appetite. Thankfully, the event hosts an impressive lineup of local food trucks and vendors each week. Check out our comprehensive Downtown Dining Guide to see some of the brick-and-mortar local restaurants supporting the event as well. You can indulge in everything from gourmet street tacos and artisanal pizzas to locally made ice cream and refreshing summer lemonades.
How to Prepare for the River Sounds Summer Concert Series
To ensure you have the absolute best experience at the park, we have put together a quick checklist of things to bring and keep in mind:
- Seating: Seating is not provided, so be sure to bring your favorite lawn chairs, premium pop-up canopies, or a large, comfortable picnic blanket.
- Arrival Time: While the music kicks off officially at 6:30 PM, we highly recommend arriving by 6:00 PM to secure a prime viewing spot on the lawn and beat the food truck lines.
- Weather Updates: This is an open-air outdoor event. In the case of severe inclement weather, real-time safety updates and cancellation notices will be posted directly on the official National Weather Service regional broadcast page.
